Grow Driving School (“we”, “us”) is a driving school in Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, growdrivingschool.com, and our staff app, Grow Driving School Leads (Android package com.turiyadigitals.gds), how we use it, and the choices you have.
The website and app are designed and developed for us by Turiya Digitals. Grow Driving School is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
When you contact us through the website
When you submit our contact form, we collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- The course you’re interested in, the subject and your message
- Technical details sent automatically with the form: your browser type (user agent) and the date and time of submission
When you browse the website
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and how people arrive). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. It does not tell us who you are.
Our contact page shows an embedded Google Map, which may set Google cookies when it loads. Our website host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.
In the Grow Driving School Leads app
The app is only for Grow Driving School staff. It does not offer public sign-up.
- Staff account details: the email address and password a staff member uses to sign in. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store them in plain text.
- Enquiries: signed-in staff can view the enquiries submitted through the website (the information listed above) and record their status (New, Contacted, Enrolled, Closed) and internal notes.
The app does not collect location, contacts, photos, files, or device identifiers, does not include analytics or advertising, and requests no device permissions other than internet access. Tapping Call or Email opens your phone’s own dialer or email app.
How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Reply to your enquiry and help you choose and book a course
- Provide driving lessons and related services you sign up for
- Keep track of enquiries so none are missed
- Understand and improve how our website is used
- Keep our website and app secure
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who processes your information
We use trusted service providers to run our website and app. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of that country.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and provide any services you book, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time; see Data Deletion.
How we protect it
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) between your browser or the app and our providers.
- Enquiries can only be read by signed-in Grow Driving School staff; database security rules block everyone else.
- Website visitors can submit an enquiry but cannot read, change or delete any.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Withdraw consent and ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of Google Analytics using your browser’s cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our services are for people learning to drive, which can include teenagers. If you’re under the age of majority in Nova Scotia (19), please have a parent or guardian contact us on your behalf. The staff app is intended for adults only.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
